Idea
Clients:
- Good Earth - Stoke Ferry, Kings Lynn. This is a fish and chip/ Chinese shop that has been in business for the past 14 years. I was going to make an online menu as there is no deliveries and would not need a ordering menu - the user would have to call to place the order.
- Hollywood Dogs - Stoke Ferry, Kings Lynn. This is a dog grooming parlour that has only existed for a few years and only has a page on Facebook. I do not know much about this business so I would have to get in-touch with the owner to find out more infomation.
- My Printing Supplies LTD - Kings Lynn. This is a company that sells printing supplies such as ink on eBay. As I know the man that owns this company, I will most likely be making this idea into a website for him to use. If I make this website, I will only include a basic style of flow featuring a few products from this website as there are over 600 products and I will be unable to create a large flow on this website (so, people will be unable to access half of the products) which is unfortunately due to the amount of time we have left on this project. I will include all shop categories, make them clickable, however they will not actually lead to the product and instead all link to a page which says something along the lines of "this aspect of the store as not been added yet".
My homepage is similar to the original design, however I have changed the showing of products so that the audience have to click on a sub menu under 'shop categories' to find the specific products or use the search bar to find products with key words. As well as this, I have moved the seller's information box and the '100% satisfaction guaranteed' higher up the page so that the homepage doesn't have a scrolling down function as the main information that I would like to show is all visible and able to fit in this first area.
In this home screen I have also used a plain black banner which me and my client decided was the best for the website, originally it was going to be edited with parts missing but I couldn't get it to look the exact way it looks on the clients store page so my client told me that they where fine with a plain black banner.

The button labelled 'home' will send the buyer to this homepage every time they press it, they can access this label from most of the main sub menus, however, when the buyer reaches the basket, payment menu and confirmation menu they will no longer see the 'home' button but a different button that says 'continue shopping' which will send them back to the home page.
When the buyer presses on the button that says 'Payment', it will only display the tool bar at the top, the phone number and email address of the seller and the 'Shop Categories' on the left hand side, instead of the slide show, there will be a message that says:
"Immediate payment is required on all items via PayPal, if you wish to pay via another method please contact us.
To save time you can add items to your basket and pay for the items altogether."
The 'Shipping' button will send the buyer to a similar page to the 'Payment' button with the tool bar, phone and email and 'Shop Categories' on the left hand side, however, the message will read:
"Shipping and delivery requirements and limitations will be shown at the checkout."
The 'Returns' button will send them to a similar page of 'Shipping' and 'Payment' however the message will read:
"If you wish to return your item(s) for a refund or exchange you must do so within 30 days from the purchase date.
All items must be returned to us in its original condition complete with the invoice.
Please check you are 100% happy with your purchase, once the item has been used it can no longer be returned. The customer is responsible for the cost of the return postage unless the Item(s) received was faulty or incorrect and need to be returned, then delivery will be paid for by us, please contact us before sending them so that we can arrange the best way to return them.
My Printing Supplies Ltd will not accept liability for any item returned to us by you that is lost or damaged in transit, we recommend all items returned to us are sent by recorded delivery."
All of these messages are taken from the sellers eBay site and are to his liking. The only one that I have written myself was the 'Shipping' message as the owner had not written the message for that and instead had the button link back to the home page.
This allows the buyer to see the product that they are buying in further detail, as well as this it also suggests other recommended products to the buyer to promote marketing.
On the Payment Type sub menu, the only payment available is through the use of PayPal, if the buyer wishes to use another method of payment, they will have to contact the seller (via phone or email) to discuss this personally.
